Neurologic disorders such as stroke and traumatic brain injury remain leading causes of death and disability globally. By developing and validating a quantitative smartphone-based pupillometry application, we hope to revolutionize the methods in which neurologic injuries are diagnosed and monitored – allowing for expedited intervention. PupilScreen combines the power of machine learning algorithms with native smartphone hardware to provide accessible and accurate pupillary light reflex metrics, a reliable biomarker of neurologic function.
