Depression in aSAH

Preventative Treatment of Depression in Survivors of Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Survivors of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) often suffer from new depression disorders after recovery, resulting in a decreased quality of life and increased health care costs. Our study reviews groups of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) stroke survivors to assess depression and quality-of-life treatment as well as evaluates the effect of preventative treatment in survivors through the role of cortisol dysregulation.
